Video Course: Assessing Pain by Tissue Type and Underlying Cause
Ann and Lynn Teachworth
Understand your client's pain to more effectively address the source. Damage in different types of tissue from a variety of forces results in different types of pain and tension. Discover the common injuries, pain symptoms, and treatment goals for seven tissue types: muscle, tendon, fascia, ligament, nerve, bursa, and joint capsule. Then learn structural and functional strategies to assess which tissue is sending a threat signal, and why, so you can choose the correct techniques to help restore function. This course was featured during the 2026 ABMP CE Summit: Pain event.
